An activity made for the start of the new school year. This activity is made to get children to think about rules that they think are important as classroom rules. There are 15 different rules that children will need to cut out. In groups, get children to pick the five rules they think are most important, getting them to justify why they think they are the five most important. This can then lead in to a classroom discussion looking at each groups selection and getting them to discuss why they picked them. These can also be used to then create the class rules for the year if their is a clear set of favourite rules or by voting on each one.

A range of activities that can be used as part of welcoming a new class in. Included is: An all about me activity sheet - there are two versions of this with one being a colour background and one being plain white if needed for printing. A someone who has/ can activity - A bingo style activity of trying to find a different individual for each box of what they have done, can do or have. This again comes with a colour background or white background for printing purposes. A birthday activity - Each month is included with children needing to find out other birthdays in the class to record appropriately in each month. Favourite activity, pet and snacks activities - These are three different data collection activities that provide the opportunity to find out favourite pets, snacks and activities, collecting this data as a tally chart. This is then followed up with a bar chart activity where children can practise applying the data to a graphic representation.

A fully differentiated lesson that focuses on stereotypes, considering what stereotypes are before children work on identifying different types of stereotypes. They will then consider why it is important to stop the use of stereotypes and why it is hard to prevent the use of stereotypes.

Perfect for back to school - Use these as a fun activity to get to know the children in your class. Each question gets children thinking and can require them to justify their decision. Questions can include set criteria e.g. cleaning the toilet with your toothbrush and then having to use it. Some are simply silly, fun questions whilst some will offer deep insight into the nature of individuals. Simply print them out, and either laminate them or cut them out and stick them on card. 116 question cards included. Whilst they can be used at the start of the year as a fun way to get to know individuals, they can also be used throughout the year. Have a day a week where one is used, getting children to do a straw poll with hands up and then discussing or getting children to write on a whiteboard and a reason why. They could also record them in a notebook to show their thinking. These can also be taken further by getting children to think of their own, getting them to think about questioning and ensuring that the two topics are related to one another and have a similar level of reward/ punishment with these then becoming discussion points.

A four lesson PSHE unit aimed at lower Key Stage 2 on career aspirations. Included is a booklet for children to work through and supporting PowerPoints that match the booklet and include any other bits of information required. The unit provides the chance to identify different jobs/ careers. WIthin the unit, aspirations are discussed and how these may be affected by family, friends, stereotypes, wages etc. in both positive and negative ways. The first three lessons provide the chance to explore all of this further before answering the overarching question in the 4th lesson.

Three lessons aimed at KS2, focusing on the question of whether sleep can affect your physical health or not. Included are three lessons, each with a lesson PowerPoint aimed at opening up discussion and signposting particular key areas of discussion around physical health and the benefits of sleep/ impact of not having enough sleep. This is backed up with a booklet that works through each lesson with discussion, key vocabulary, recap tasks and activities. This is finished with a final written outcome at the end to answer the overall theme question.

Three differentiated resources that introduce children to the theme of beliefs, thinking about what the term means before considering non-religious examples and what these beliefs may mean.

Get children to draw themselves, describe themselves, identify their favourite subjects and activities outside of school as well as getting children to set three targets (for in or out of school) and think of one thing new they would like to do in the next year.

Included are 25 statements that children have to find someone else to match to. Some statements are more common events e.g. made a snowman whilst some are more specific e.g. been to France. At the end, it can then be used as a class discussion to see who has done what and also pick out more details for certain events.

A lesson that focuses on celebrating the differences of people as well as focussing on what bullying is and how it can affect anyone. Included are questions that can also be stuck in pupils books for them to answer. Six lessons that apply a cross curricular approach to PSHE and Computer Science. Children will work on bullying and cyber bullying, being able to identify these as well as knowing what to do in the event of bullying. This links with Computer Science through being able to use search engines effectively, knowing how to stay safe online and through creating a PowerPoint that looks at using a number of the tools available to them including hyperlinking slides.

An introductory lesson that considers what bullying is and thinks about the STOP message. This includes discussions for children to have before giving them a sorting activity. In groups, they need to decide which are examples of bullying and which aren’t, discussing these as a class afterwards.

A lesson that focuses on what people can do if they feel like they are being bullied as well as looking at how anyone can be the victim of bullying through celebrity examples. Within the presentation there is also a focus on the STOP and THINK messages before children create their own anti-bullying posters.

Three reading lessons aimed at Upper Key Stage 2 focusing on neurodiversity, specifically with a focus on dyslexia. Included is the text, a PowerPoint for the three lessons and an activity for each lesson with the focus being on vocabulary, summarise and retrieval over the 3 days.

A PSHE style lesson that focuses on the media, getting children to consider what the media is before considering why they focus on celebrities and the reality of images that are used in different aspects of media. This lesson also gets children to consider whether they can trust everything they read in magazines, newspapers or online and why this is the case. Included are three differentiated activities, slightly between MA and HA, and the presentation for the lesson.
